This is my completed Sampler Shawl, from
Folk Shawls. I used Alice Starmore Scottish Campion, purchased on ebay. Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift is the same thing, and I did have to find some more to complete the shawl. It's very long -- 90" or so, I think. The rows are 399 - 400 stitches long! (Depending on the stitch pattern, you increase or decrease as instructed.)

What is it about damp wool that is so attractive to cats?

HI! I saw the picture of your finished Lady Eleanor on the Scarf Style KAL--it's gorgeous! So of course I wanted to visit your blog to see your other projects. Well, we must be twin sisters separated at birth. I too just finished the Sampler Shawl from Folk Shawls and am blocking my Lady Eleanor tonight and trying to figure out what to do about the fringe. I like what you did and may just give that a try.
Anyway, sorry for the ramble, but I got such a kick out of stumbling across your blog and then seeing that we had made a couple of the same projects. You work is beautiful. Knit on!
